I was with my brother and our friends chloe and carter. we had the type of relationship that in other cases would cause everyone in the group to be jealous and we would all hate eachother, but in this case it was different.. you see chloe and carter are siblings and haden and I are siblings, so I don't have a problem if Haden and Chloe like eachother, and chloe does not have a problem if carter and I like eachother. and we are all also best friends with eachother. When I think about it my head spins, but it is perfect.

I was helping Phillip to learn how to control his seron form and also how to survive in the forest. I taught him how almost every part of a serons body could be used as a weopon, how all serons could use some form of magic but the leaders could do the super powerful stuff, I told him how we were able to take down creatures several times our size...

I just wasn't comfortable with being a seron. Why did she push me so?Some days I wondered if she didnt really love me for who I was.
"Thats it!" i said fruesterated, sitting stubbornly down on the ground. "I can't do this anymore Amy! I want to be able to protect you but this isn't working out! I haven't been a seron since before I can remeber. My instincts have all died. Can't you just accept that I'm just human?"

Most of my time was just spent walking around solo though. Yes, eveything had the potential to work out perfectly but I just didn't feel right about it. Something unsettled me and no matter where I went, like a dark cloud. I was always anxious and being with others just made it worse, like whatever made me feel like that would hurt them too.

"Because, now that you know what you are, you need to know how to control your strength so that you don't accidentally hurt someone"

"I can't change forms that easily anyway. I'll just stay human."

"and what if someone irritates you? or you see some farmers goat walking by? like it or not we are predators, when we see prey we have an urge to go after it"

"I don't, Amy! That is what I have been telling you. Everything you guys do seem to foreign to me. and, believe it or not, I am a vegetarian."

"fine.. I'm.. I'm just trying to help"

"I've been trying but I just can't take this."

"Then what will you do? "

"What I did before."

"But then.. I won't be able to see you as often"

"I could try to live among one of the packs, but I would be an outsider."

"Not if it is my pack, if you are accepted by the leading family, others will warm up to you too"

"And I suppose they would just accept a weak human because the leader's kid has a crush?" It sounded pathetic.

"To them I am. You are probably stronger than I."

"Even the hatchlings of your pack could take me, I only eat plants, I can't even be in seron form for more than I minute without a headache."

"we let humans stay with us a lot. some of them even choose to stay"

"stronger than any human we have seen... and smarter too.. the only humans we have a problem with are ones who think they can control us"
