I'm giving the pack serons a break.
We are siblings in a family of reflective serons. we do not live in a pack like the other serons do, but we do know about the packs and are taught that they are not evil but that they just chose to live differently than us. Our parents teach us to hunt and defend ourselves. our scales will reflect either the feelings of others or our literal surroundings. Most of our friends are from the packs as we only see other reflective serons once every few months.
But life is not all good. When we find out our parents have been murdered. we are left on our own. We are only hatchlings with only a few days worth of training, but we must figure out how to survive without adults to help us. The packs are recovering from a recent war that almost destroyed them and will not have their fighters in the area for some time. so we can't count on help from them.
This takes place just after the latest generation. the war left the packs so shattered that they cannot spare fighters to patrol. so they do not know about these hatchlings for a good while.
My charactor
Name: Linus
age: three months ((ten years))
gender: male
description: He is a little small for his age, in human form he has black hair and dark blue eyes.
Personality: Very smart and friendly. He loves to learn about the other serons and will talk to any seron he sees that is not a black seron.
((note for those who are not familiure with these))
Black serons being evil does not mean I am racist. the blackness is just in seron form. their human form can have any color.

Re: I'm giving the pack serons a break.
I waited with abrielle for our parents to return from checking out the new area. "Do you find it odd that the pack serons don;t patrol here anymore? it's so sudden. we used to cross paths with them all the time"
Re: I'm giving the pack serons a break.
This was our forth home in three months. our parents had to keep moving us to keep us safe from black serons, feraks, and various other animals. one or two of them they could handle without having to move. but if a group of three or more moved in we would have to move. life out here was too demanding for any of us to be injured. we did not have healers to help out if we got hurt. in an emergancy we would seek out a pack healer. but locating a pack was hard and we only did it as a last resort. Abriella and I had never known any such thing as a permenant home. to us, every 'home' was just another temporary location.

"Reflective serons don't live in packs... besides. they seem to be worse off than us right now. "
Re: I'm giving the pack serons a break.
"I haven't heard from her in a long time. do we even know if she survived the war?" ((she did))
Re: I'm giving the pack serons a break.
we waited there for several more hours. I began to get worried. they had taken a couple hours before. but never this long. I told myself there just must be a lot of stuff to check out, but as it began to get dark I knew something was wrong. I tried not to let my fear show as I did not want to scare my little sister.
Re: I'm giving the pack serons a break.
It was now late into the night and they were not back yet. "come on abrielle, let's go to bed, if they are not back by morning, we are going to look for them"

"No, I can't go to sleep without Mom!" I threw myself down on the ground and cried.

Re: I'm giving the pack serons a break.
Abrielle had never had to spent a night without mom around. so I could understand why having to do so now would scare her. I sat by her and spoke gently. "I'll be right here, In won;t let anything hurt you."
