I was in shock. and one of my siblings had to grab my had and lead me out of the room.

After awhile a burning pain broke my consiousness and i was in Mom and Dads room on the bed. There were cops running up and down the hall, and then, as i surveyed my closest surroundings, i realized the presence of paramedics

I sat in a chair, eddie was trying to calm me down. the whole thing had really scared me.

as much as i didn't want to have to go throught anything that would freak eveybody else out, and anythingthat'd put me on the spot too much, the strapped me to a streacher and put me in the back of an ambulence. Worse than that,, they found it nseciasry to stick me with one of those cursed needles. I literally startedcrying. My irrational fear had never passed

I sat with Jason. The man was gone but he was still in shock. We were on the armchair and I was rocking Jason on my lap. "Its okay. You didn't get hurt and Hazel will be fine. I promise." I said soothingly.
"But what if he comes back."
"What ifs take up too much time. He won't come back. If he does Robbie has his shotgun ready."

THe last think i remembered after that was waking up in a hospital room. My arm still had a stupid IV in it. (yes, i have a problem with needles in my arm,)
There was a bandage around my collorbone and my arm was in a sling to keep it in place. My family filed in as soon as i woke up,

we had stopped at a vet earlier to drop duke off. his injurys were not fatal. he got shot in the leg when he attacked the robber. so my attention was foucased on hazle now. and I could tell her that her dog was going to be fine.

I saw Mom and Dad talking with the doctor quietly, was i going to be okay?
"how's the woofie?" i asked, my voice abnormally quiet.

"oh the dog? he's not going to die. But he may have to stay at the vet for a few days. he's the reason your still alive,"

I smiled and sat quietly listening to Hazel. She was so small and weak. Why did she have to take the bad one for the team? ((thats all I got))

(at least its not nothing )
"send him my reguards, then. am I going to be okay?"

"we don't know that yet" I said. "but you are better then you were four days ago"

"four days? i've been gone for four days?"

"yeah, and you talk in your sleep too"

"Don't forget sing as well. You started singing twinkle twinkle little star rather loudly and very off key. I would know." I said smiling. Hazel seemed shocked.
"I didn't know." Was all she could say.

I laughed softly. "at least it told us you were still alive" I said.

(how do you people know that i sleep talk? :O )
I sank into the covers a few inches more, hiding all but my eyes,

I giggled again.

It was impossible to hide the red color my ears were becoming,
"A-anyway, do mom and dad know who broke in? And is Miss Brownerstone angry at me for missing that big history test?"

"no mom and dad don't know" I said. "and miss brownerstoe was a jerk about it. we told her why you missed it and she did not beleive us."

I rolled my eyes,
"She'll figure it out when i walk in to school with a sling on,"

"yeah, or maybe she will just say you shouldent climb the teatherball poles"

"She says that, and she'll also have to tell me not to be throwing teatherballs at the teachers"

"well, you probably wont be going to school for a few more days anyway"

"are you picking up my work for me?" then i realized that it was the right side or my collorbone that was broken. "I won't be able to write!"
