Growing pains and heartache.

"hmm true, besides my parents can change their orders"

"oh, speaking of orders. I think tomorrow is the day you help me teach the advanced training class."

(Lilac)
"Alright:

((jack))

"well, enough with all this stuff, we came out here to get away from all that for a while"

(Lilac)
He was right, so I sat down cross legged in the grass and began a discussion on who knows what. That was one thing I liked about Jack was that he was very smart and one of the few people I could talk to on such a high level with.

((Jack))

Lilac was very smart for her age. Most of her training was just reviewing stuff untill she was of age. She knew enough about stradigy and pack government to be an elite guard. oh sure I knew a lot too, I had to because of what I did on a daily basis. but what she knew amazed me. right now we were talking about the pros and cons of fighting an enemy in a windstorm. "if you could get on ground that is suitable for your specialty it wouldn't but much more than annoying and you would still have some advantage. But on the other hand it is hard to fly in a windstorm and landing is nearly impossible so I would not suggest even trying it"

"Unless you were flying directly alongside a cliff face or something that would block the wind, however if the winds changed directions, your previous safeguard could produce funneling which would greatly make your flying difficult."

((jack))

"and that is not something you want in a fight. you want as much movement as possible. so staying on the ground is the safest way to go"

(Lilac)
"But being so low, the tree's trunks would actually create more funneling and cause you to roll on the ground. Personally I would move cliff face to cliff face using tunnels between."

"or just draw them into a cave and fight them in there"

"Such spaces would be too confined. Ideally if somebody tried to attack you near the entrance is that would would incapacitate them and push them out into the merciless winds.

((jack))

"I think we found the reason noone attacks us on stormy nights. we would have more of an advantage here since we live on these rocks and cliffs while they have a hard time on them in good weather."

(Lilac)
"And you are really scary lookin' when somebody wakes you up in the middle of the night."

((jack))

"which is also why noone wakes me up in the middle of the night"

I laughed. He was so serious.

I stared at her seriously for a few seconds, then I started laughing too.

(Lilac)
"Do yourself a favor and learn to let loose every now and then."

((Jack))

I gave her a mock serious look. "Dealing with all you servants makes me like this. "

(Lilac)
"And dealing with some spoiled leaders kid wouldn't make us go insane?"

((jack))

"ah well spoiled would not be the right word. more like... very busy"

(Lilac)
Maybe he was right,so maybe spoiled wasn't correct. How about ignorant or privileged?

((Jack))

"Anyway... has Jared been acting any better?" Jared was one of those serons that was really stuck up all the time. To him life was about him and only him and if it was about anyone else it was not part of life. he had a reputation for nodding at our orders when we gave them and then going behind our backs and doing anything but what we asked him to do. we only knew about it because others told us about it. it had gone as far as my parents acually having a stern discussion with him. and if it has to go all the way to your pack leader, that should be a clue that you need to fix something.

"Not really. Nobody changes when you're that low."
