Growing pains and heartache.

Melody making a roleplay in here? Impossible right!

This story is mainly that of Tanner and Abbie (they appear in Ancient Packs, this is the sequel to it) and how their friendship begins to blossom. Tanner has been and adult for eight human years now, and Abbie is just now seventeen. Serons age differently than humans and this huge age gap had created a slight oddness which is now over as Abbie is age. However At the rate humans age she will live her whole life before Tanner ages another year. This short time is all they can have of a normal relationship and although they may be falling in love emotions are hidden because attachment can be a dangerous sharp knife.

age: about nine human years ((18 for a seron. he's been an adult for eight years))

Gender: male

Pack: he is a gold seron.

Rank: he is the pack leaders younger brother.

description: In seron form his scales are very reflective and shine in the sunlight. in human form he has medium length black hair, light blue eyes and is about medium height.


Personality: Playful and often still acts like a hatchling. This is more true when he is with abbie. But he is a skilled commander and will quickly act like the adult that he is in tight situations.

"my brothers orders were clear, we do not take anyone near those caves" I said for what seemed like the millionth time to the same fighter. "And don't try and ask daisy for permisson either. you know she backs up what her husband decides" Our conversation was about caves at the edge of the territory. we had recently discoverd that they were where The forest phantom Xzarna lived. Slaincor had forbidden anyone to go near them. The fighter i was tlaking to was trying top cinvince me to take a short cut on our [atrol. but that short cut would lead us right next to the caves. "You don't even know if he is really there" the fighter said. I turned and looked at him. "and I suppose you would love to go in there and find out? We are still trying to recover from the huge war with the black serons. if we provoke him we might as well all go jump off a cliff and forget to use our wings" The fighter had nothing to say to that. "get the rest of them ready. i'm going to go tell abbie i'm going" I said. then i turned. she was right there. "how long have you been there?"

"Oh just long enough to have you wondering how long I've been."

"very informative" I said. "hey i'm about to take some of the mkost annoying fighters in the pack out on patrol. some of them may or may not come back...depending on my mood" we both knew i wouildn;t really do anything. but it got the message across.

"Just be sure you come back" I said, playfully poking him in the stomach. Times like these made me feel like I was still inferior so I simply laughed it off.

"and you make sure you don't spoil the hatchlings" I said, poking her back

"Only your nephew...and your admirer Lilac"

((tanner))

"you still see jack as a hatchling. tho he is an adult now"

"He was born when I was nine and he is still nine years younger than me"

"that is true. and he still acts like a kid around you."

"As if you don't act any different"

"if you want I could act like one of the elite"

"You couldn't pull it off," I told him, eyes shining.

I laughed "you are probably right. "

Glancing around, I noticed the impatient glares pointed my direction. "Time for you to go and me to wait." I say "Be safe and.." I kiss him lightly on the cheek. "Your it".
Then I disappear before he can say anything about me embarrassing him in front of the fighters. He can lecture me later...

I was sure i was almost was red as a red seron at that point. and my heart was raceing. I turned to the fighters. "let's move out" I chnaged into my seron form.

Now I was alone for the next few hours. I'd already helped Daisy more than was helpful today, so I decided to take a walk.
Before I knew it, I was standing by the stream leading to our hidden waterfall room. A smile unconsciously crossed my face as I sneaked in. Sitting against the wall I became deep in thought...

The day when Tanner and I had first met, both of us had been newly orphaned...the time he saved me when crossing this very stream...then the time not so far past when he had been moved to a high and dangerous position and how I'd been so worried....

I lead the patrol along the eastern boarder. this was the boarder with the black serons. there werent many these days but it didn't hurt to check. My position was stressful for both abbie and me. we never knew when some assasian might try to take me out. or if one of my patrols would get attacked by black serons... not to mention all the work of helping slaincor and daisy run the pack.

We still worried, but we had discovered that somehow we could,even over the distances know what the other was feeling. Just as I thought that, something prickled down my spine. He was in trouble.

you could say these serons were our version of bandits. they were black serons but not from the black seron pack. they had two more fighters than we had. but i could tell from their stances that their fighting skills were not even close to ours. I was crouched low, teeth bared threateningly ((hmm.. we havn;t done any POV changes. perhaps you can be one of tanners fighters))

I took my stance in front of Tanner. Abbie had cornered me and asked me to keep him safe, a request I had been subtly fulfilling. I growled firecly.

the black serons attacked. and.. well we did what any fighter would do natrualy. we fought back, and we fought back hard.

They were all gone and we were celebrating a short victory...when I caught something in the corner of my eye.

(Alex)
I rolled my eyes slightly and stepped forward shooting an enormous energy ball at the enemy frying them immediately. My color began to shift because of the enormous energy use so I changed into human form.
