Growing pains and heartache.

A light giggle escaped be as I lightly covered that spot with my fingers, not wanting it to ever go away.

I gazed up at the stars.

Try as I might, I could not manage to stay awake.

I sat by her as she fell asleep. I did not feel tired at the moment.

I sat perched in tree, shadows helping to hide me as I waited unseen. Should I be caught out this late they would probably kill me in a heartbeat.

it was easier for me to get to our meeting spot. Only My parents out ranked me and I had already gotten past them. Everyone els didn't think twice about it when I walked past them. I stopped under the tree and looked up. I knew she would be up there.

I got down as gracefully as I could, landing lightly on my feet, springing back up onto tiptoe.

((Jack))

"you have gotten better at that" I commented.

"It wouldn't do to have me break something at a time like this. No possible way to hide what we're doing then"

((jack))

"True, besides, Knowing who my parents are it would be all over the camp in a matter of hours. and the truth would be so twisted that this would seem like nothing"

I found it amusing that the rumors most likely to be spread would be impossible under our current system. My words touched his ears and his mine, but nothing more. In fact I doubted that we had ever been closer than a foot to one another, which suited us just fine.

((Jack))

"How are you handling life as a servant? My parents treating you well?"

"Its...complicated."

"I see, I hear some of the gaurds like to push authority on you guys when the leading family is not looking"

"Its not that. Its just that there is so much drama, and this thing with Laryld..."

((jack))

"wasn't he the guy I yelled at for intentionaly colapsing three tunnles?"

I nodded "And the guy who is trying to get my parents to have me marry him..."

((Jack))

"He should know we don't run like that. "

(Lilac)
"With the leaders and elite that is true, but among the servants and the lower level fighters, that type of thing happens all the time."

"if my parents ever accept you we won't have to worry about that"

"We may not have the chance. My parents are hungry and he is promising them everything. It will be a matter of days."

"what if I sent them out on a lot of missons? kept them busy"

"People would only become suspicious."

"Not if I found a good reason."

"Think, I'm already always assigned tasks that have to do with you, and my parents suddenly being sent far away from this person?"
