New Avengers

"Dang? You're only seventeen? I was hoping you'd be 19..."

"I'm bright, and independent, but not that old. My birthday was actually a few weeks ago so.."

"oh, I'll have to buy you something nice."

"That wwasn't the point..'

"Doesn't matter. What size shirt are you?" i pulled out my iPhone to take notes.

"Medium. Nothing low cut mind you."

"You're ruining all the fun."

I gave him a funny look. "I have a rainbow of camisoles to wear under it you know"

I rolled my eyes.
"Anyway, I'll get someone on that." I sent a quick text to my secretary. "Want lunch? I'll buy."

"Oh-kay" I said.

"What you want?" I was currently playing angry birds on my iPhone.

"I don't know. Pizza is always good." Golly, that sounded shildish

"I don't disagree, however, you realize that I can get you whatever you want...wait, here, give me the address to your apartment, I'll pick you up for dinner, we'll go somewhere fancy."

I blinked. "You do know I'm only seventeen right? More than two years age difference could get us in trouble..." I said although my hands, seemingly without my permission wrote down on a little pink sticky note. 8221 E Fountain Lane #18

"I've been on stranger dates." And with that I took the post-it, and flew away.

"You crazy person" I muttered under my breath, closing my car doors and driving away.

I arrived at 7 o clock at her house. I was wearing wearing a simple black suit with a red button-down underneath. I was sitting in the driver's seat of my red Ferrari. I had a a red rose for her.

My hair was perfectly curled and for once I was actually wearing makeup. Very subtle of course, but there was a hint of glitter around my eyes. Black just past knee-length pencil skirt and a rose colored blouse with a silver belt around my waist.
Naturally when I awnsered the door it looked as if I had accidently dumped all the blush in my compact on my face. Why did I even care?

I smiled at her. "You look great," I said, taking her hand and guiding her to the passenger seat of my car.

Why did he need a car when he could fly? Why was he holding my hand? Most of all, why in the world was I getting into a car with a stranger? Oh well I had to be polite now, so I climbed in and yes, buckled my seat belt.

"You look quizzical, explain."

"You'rre like...five? Years older than me, an adult, somebody that is still a stranger, and yet we're going out on a date dressed like a-an-almost engaged couple and I don't even like you!"

"Sure you don't," I said with a smile.
