New Avengers

"No, I have no relation to Mr. Stark whatsoever. Believe it or not, there are smart people in different families." I said to her sarcastically.

"I just thought because you have similar exressions, tones and features as well as general worldly attitudes...'

"What can I say? He's my hero."

"I guess he's pretty cool. If you think people who are abnoxious, dissolute and very hard-minded are neat."

"I'm guessing you prefer a more down-to-earth guy?"

"Respectful, kind, understands that girls are not playthings..."

"Well, Jennifer," I said, bopping her on her nose, "I guess i'm not the man for you." I proceeded to leave.

"Woah" IO said rising. "How did you know my name and---"

"Well, I'm actually quite observant. When you asked that lady if you could help her, who by the way is my secretary, you said your name."

"You do seem pretty bright and honestly you are the first person to see what I can do as something other than just a knack for working meds right." His expression told me he was up to something. "and if you are going to put something hero-esque together, you will need somebody who actually knows the human body. No use saving the world if you can't deal with injured people. Besides, something tells me that you are sick at the sight of blood. Am I right?"

"One: Pretty bright? I'm just out of college and the head of a division. I call that genius. Two: I know the human body perfectly fine. Three: Blood is nothing. Four: Why would I be trying to put a group together?"

I rolled my eyes. "Because I understand psychology at a high enough level to predict what you'll be doing"

"And I know psychology high enough to know you're secretly attracted to me."

"Not really. The chemicals being released by my body at this exact moment are actually those associated with the exaustion phase of General Adaptation Syndrome. Everybody and everything is beautiful at this point. You could say the word 'disease' and I would be laughing hysterically"

"Well, in that case, disease."

Despite my efforts, I burst out laughing.

"You shouldn't have told me that," I said, laughing at her.

"Like I said" I tried, but was caught laughing again. Wiping the tears from my eyes I finished with only minimal giggles "Everything is funny"

"Well, I feel it is my time to leave." I said, walking away from her briskly.

I rolled my eyes and got back to work.

A girl that laughs at disease...she sounded quite a lot like me...

He was definatly up to something, that much I could be sure of. With his attitude and intelligence not even a nuclear explosion could stop him.

(The next day)
When I woke up and turned on the news, what i saw was what i had expected. headlines blared "A New Iron Man: What Black Magic is this?"
"Oh," I thought aloud "That's a cool name..."

I too saw the headlines and just rolled my eyes. "He's going to get a big head, I just know it..."

"And of course they focus on the negative things," I said. They were talking about how i was a "Vigilante and a menace to society". Give me a break.
