Re: The Forgotten Lands
In the far distance I could see something coming. I looked up at the sky and the eigth star was already touching the horizon. Time flew by so quickly, I barely had time to say farewell to everyone. When a chariot came by, all the other centaurs and centauresses lined up in respect. I obviously couldn't ride in a chariot so I just galloped along, catching one last glimpse of my home.

Re: The Forgotten Lands
Everyone had said their peaceful goodbyes and Elfian blessings as the eighth star sunk towards the horizon. Just a few more seconds...
I didn't exactly have anyone close to say a farewell to besides my sister, my only living relative. Of course, she was decades older than me, but she was the only person I had. Everyone in the colony had their goodbye turn and a glowing chariot came over the horizon from an eastern direction.
It was a beautiful sparkling chariot pulled by unicorns. Inside sat the witch and the fairy.
I stealthily jumped inside, securing my bow and arrow pack before sitting down. I sat across from the other two riding inside.
I waved one hand to my people as the chariot shot off. I turned to the other two.
"Hello, I am Aragolos. The Elfian Elite." I introduced myself with a smile.

((My friggin ear infection is back I hate it))
I saw the unicorns and the chariot and rolled my eyes. I said my goodbyes and turned into my dragon form, and just followed the unicorns back.

((I had a double ear infection 2 weeks ago. It sucked.))
"I'm Mary Beth" I said quietly. Elves had always intimidated me and this one seemed extra intimidating.

Re: The Forgotten Lands
((Whoa that sucks I'm sorry))
The witch, Mary Beth, seemed to be...pulling away. I decided to leave her alone for a moment.
"Pleasure to meet you both..." I nodded to the fairy, Hekate, and Mary Beth.
We were approaching the Grand Castle, the castle in the middle of all of the colonies.

((I know the feeling, girl. haha, mine is coming back for the third time in two and a half weeks. I have to go back to the doctor because it still hurts and I might need surgery on it again not good))
I landed just as the other elite were walking towards the Grand Castle and turned into human form.

Re: The Forgotten Lands
The ones who hadn't ridden on the chariot had brought themselves to the castle. Now the seven of us were walking up (Or flying, or trotting) the main gate. We crossed a bridge, where below us was a fifty-foot mote, and stopped at two grand entrance doors.
The doors magically swung open. One person was waiting for us in the entry way--the counselor.

Re: The Forgotten Lands
"The Seven Elites," the counselor smiled a long smile. "Get here comfortably?"
In return, blank stares. Half of us had come here not by chariot, but by themselves.
"Eh.." He made the awkward moment even more uneasy. "Come, follow me." We followed him in a perfectly straight column down the dimly-lit hallway. He carried a lantern to light the way, but it didn't help the lack of torches.
"I am leading you to your rooms for now. You have had a long day and need rest," after another few minutes of walking, we were far from the entrance of the castle. He was leading us down a long and wide hallway with low ceilings. Here it was more warm and homey. At the very end of the hallway were double doors, not too grand or shabby. He pushed them open and allowed us into an extremely immense room. The ceilings were hundreds of feet up and the walls hundreds of feet across. One half of the room was more of a home with plushy chairs and chaise lounges and fire places lit warmly across. A small cooking area sat in the corner.
On the other side of the room, it was like you stepped right outside. There were trees and grass and many places to lay down or sleep in some spots in the trees.
At the south wall were seven closed oak doors.
"This will be your...what shall I call it, home? Just temporarily, while you're being trained.
Everyone exchanged glances with each other.
"Excuse me," I said. "But train? I am sure that every one of us already meet your high standards."
"Yes, yes," the counselor tutted. "But we must train you for what is beyond your colony."
Was he underestimating us? We were the most skilled among thousands! We were the elite of the elite of the elite. How could he expect us to get any better?
"Your colony's trademark is on each of your doors," he explained. "Your room is fit to your liking. We will send a messenger by dawn to fetch each of you." And quickly, like he was afraid we were going to hurt him, the counselor burst out the door and sped off.
So...here you are, here's where you sleep. Was that the council's fancied way of greeting their guests?
"I don't like him much," said Mary Beth, the witch from the Magical being colony.
"Same here," said the centaur, Sempter. ((Don't ask how he knows their names, I dunno.)) "But we need our sleep. Greatly."

Re: The Forgotten Lands
((haha, of course elves are always magically awesome))
I just shrugged and walked until I saw the room with my colony's emblem on it. I entered the room and found it was partially inside, with doors that opened to the rest of the room...outside. It was a giant balcony where I could turn to my dragon form and sleep, or a bed inside if I wanted to be in my human form, which isn't preferable, but I won't go into specifics. The room was, in few words, perfect.

Re: The Forgotten Lands
I spotted a door with vines on it and a star in the middle. That was obviously my room. I opened it to discover a forest-like room. There were a few comfy cushions on the ground for me to lay on comfortably. There was a large window for me to see the stars. They were lovely tonight.

((hahahaha I like the no ceiling thing. that's cool))
I turned into my dragon form when I walked out onto the balcony. I could see the stars better this way. It had been a long day, so I slowly drifted into a dreamless sleep.
