Death Sentance

we eventually got out of the school. The man took us to behind the biggest tree around the school. He sighed.
"This wasnt what i was expecting" he said
"Yeah, but it's what you have," i responded.
"Alright," he said, "My name is Sarkhan. Sarkhan Vol"
"Thats an odd name," i said. I tried read his mind ((btw we all have a random power like that)) but i couldnt.
"Dont try that on me," he responded. "and yes, it isnt my original name. Soon all of you will have names of similar qualities as mine once you see the grand dragon Nicol Bolas."

"Could somebody please explain what is hapening?"

"Yep. Please do."

"all i know is that one min we're with a burning desk now we're being pulled out of homeroom,"

"I believe we're being gathered because of our powers. Once this 'grand dragon Nicol Bolas' sees us we get new names and work to protect everyone who has no idea what is going on." I spoke with such confidence that I was rewarded with several gawking stares. "What?"

"ok... So when are we going to see that 'dragon'?"

"I don't llike the sound of thisS"

"If you would let me speak," said Sarkhan, "I suggest you all brace yourselves, for this will be rough." He spread his arms around in circles. Red and Green light simultaniuosly spread around the ground into a pattern. "Once you step inside the portal you will be transported to Bolas' lair. Once there you cannot turn back, understood?"
"Yes, i understand," i said arrogently. I stood inside the circle and suddenly the world started spinning. I looked down at my feet and saw them dissappearing. Was i travelling Downwards? Or was it forwards? i couldnt tell. All i knew is that once i gained my bearings again i didnt see any of them. All i saw were mountains and fire.

"what was that?" i squeaked.

"Oh, come on Cheryl! I want to see that 'dragon'. Sounds like fun... Hahaha!" I looked at the circle and jumped in after Kent.

"Why not? This could be an adventure that no one looked for." I smiled excitedly and waited for my turn.

My street instincts were kicking in. There was no way I was going in there. I started to back away. "Yeah... Thanks for the adventure, But I don't think I'm ready to see this dragon." Who knew who this guy was? Or what his intentions were.

"yeah, i don't know.."

"So... Yeah, I'll see you guys later... If the dragon doesn't eat you." I kept backing up. First rule on the streets, always watch your back, and never turn it on someone you don't trust. It leaves you open and vulnerable.

people started to show up around me. When would Sarkhan get here. ((you guys know you have to go there, right?))

((Yeah, I was figuring this guy would do something to get them in... tell them they don't have a choice, they will end up meeting the dragon sooner or later why not sooner. Something like that.))

I took a deep breath. I liked this girl. Not smart, but I did. "If I die, I'm coming back to haunt you." I said. Then, mustering all the courage I could, I jumped.

I didn't like this at all, But I was here, and had no idea how to get back. So I followed.
