The Perfect Children?

"They're more frequent, and harder to find when you're half asleep." I took the rabbits and started cleaning them.

I rolled my eyes. I took a dagger and cut open them all down the stomach. I pushed it towards Sol. "Here. Clean all these guts out."

I had been afraid of the new people, that they wouldn't like me, so it was just now that i came out from the trees.
"I'll help" i said

I looked at her weirdly. "You want to clean out rabbit guts?" I didn't give her a chance to answer. "Ehh. Knock yourself out." and I walked away.

"No, but i feel responsible to be useful" i said softly

"Come on, he just has a crush on you don't worry about it." I said, loud enough for Damon to hear.

"DO NOT!" I yelled back.

I turned red and looked over my shoulder, walking at a faster pace than before. I ran into a tree in my distractedness and fell. "Ow" i said quietly

I laughed at Damon's reaction and went back to skinning the rabbit.

It seemed to me that she was the one who had a crush on me.

i had to do something, to gain courage, maybe? This guy was really cute, but i couldn't talk

After ten minutes, I went back to the fire and helped Sol.

I talked and laughed with the kids helping me skin our supper.

"So are we just going to eat this on a stick? Cuz I was thinking some stew, or vegetables..."

(It'll add drama i guesss...)
I walked out of the woods carrying a pot. "Look what i found?"

"We can do some of each." I said with a smile.

"Where the heck did you get that?"

"The correct question would be: who did you steal that from." I said as I looked expectantly at her.

"Who do we have to steal from out in the middle of no where?"

"Some of the younglings were hitting eachouther with it"

"Hermits and the like are who I steal from. How about you start on the stew then."

"Okay" i said, beginning a fire

I began to add the water to the pot

I made some of the younger kids find some leaves and fruits to add to the rations. "..and make sure they aren't poisonous, ok?" They all nodded their heads and ran off.
