"You will when a tree eats you." I said laughing. I was finally home!

My face remained emotionless, ignoring her stupid sense of humor. I just sighed and looked ahead.

We walked into a seemingly abandon clearing. Once there I called out, "There are no shemlen here!" and many Dalish appeared around us.

I looked around at all the dalish elves. To my surprise, some faces were familiar. I caught one staring at me. I stared back trying to remember who he was. When he smiled, I knew. It was Tori! We were close friends back home, but then he was taken away and I had never seen him since. I smiled back.

I looked around rather grumpily. "Bah! Elves." I mumbled to myself, "If they wouldn't hang around trees so often, they would probably have lasted through their last war better. In fact, they would probably be in control of those loud humans..." I continued complaining to myself.

I shot a glare at Rikka. Like she was one to talk...

I talked with many at once. They all had figured me as dead. And they were very surprised to find I was traveling with a dwarf. The Keeper, Zathrian, came up to me. As he firmly gripped my arm, the other Dalish went silent. "I'm glad you were not attacked." There was a collective sigh from around me. I had left, and they expected him to punish me. Then he turned to the others. "Welcome!" he glanced at each Grey Warden in turn, but skipped over Rikka. "Keeper Zathrian, will you not acknowledge our Stone?" I gestured with my free arm at the Dwarf.

I ran over to Sara and hugged her, she was my best friend when I was little, but her parents were killed and she ran away. I secretly hoped that we would see her.

"Of course he won't! I'm not 'is type of people." I stared at the keeper. When he didn't respond I almost laughed. Predictable.

((Dwarves and Elves don't get along very well. It is rare that an Elf and a Dwarf become friends. But when they do that bond is unbreakable. This has only happened once before, that we know of.
Some background info:
Blights take a long time to form. This one took 400 years. The Older Grey Wardens are the only ones who know how to set up a Joining. The Joining is when you drink Darkspawn blood that has been tampered with. Without this tampering, those who drink the Darkspawn blood would die a slow and painful death. With this tampering however you have around thirty years to live.

Darkspawn are twisted forms of Humans, Elves, and Dwarves. Their skin is gross, to say the least. They are ugly, but fierce fighters. They eat our dead.
The Darkspawn are led by a creature known as the Archdemon. The Archdemon has always been a dragon-like creature. Archdemons lead the Darkspwan to do their bidding through a "group mind." Since you drank the Darkspawn blood you are now able to access this "group mind," but in vivid nightmares. The newer you are the worse the nightmares.
The human-like Darkspawn are called Hurlocks. The Dwarf-like ones are called Genlocks. And the Elf-like ones are Shrieks. Hurlocks are all brawn and no brain. Genlocks are strategists, they choose the location and placement. Shrieks are the most powerful and fastest. The Archdemon directs everything else.))

Zathrian, still clutching my arm, led the way to their camp.

Tori came over to me still smiling. I hugged him. It was so long since I last saw him. He changed a lot, but his face was exactly the same.

Zathrian ushered all the elves toward his usual speech area. I followed my group, silent and bored.

"My brothers and sisters." Zatherian began, "We have been plagued by a curse for years. For a while, it was only a few attacks here and there. Now the Werewolves are attacking in great numbers! They have poisoned some of our own. We have one thing left to do. We must wipe them out. To wipe them out, we must go for their heart.

"They have a leader," Zathrian spoke to the Grey Wardens now. "This leader we call Witherfang. He is the source of the curse. I would ask you to bring me his heart. Then when I have his heart, I can stop this curse, then we will fight with you. We will help you end your curse of Darkspawn."

I was bored still. And slightly angry, because now we had to do his dirty work in order to gain his fighters.

I was concerned for them. But evenly angry that we have to do something for them to end Darkspawn with us. We should all have the same goal when it comes to Darkpawn. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Tori looking at me. I felt really self conscious.

I ignored everybody. My family was dead after all, so what matters. I just sat there, picking up sticks and cracking them with my hand. I sighed and leaned back, listening to them.

I sat next to Sara, I had missed her so much, we caugt up with each other with whats happened over the last years.

I discussed plans with Zathrian.

I knew not anybody except for those that i had come with. I blended into the background and kept watch.

Zathrian wanted our help. I told him I would see what the others thought.

"Help them?" I told Lyna, when she asked me. "He's the one who is supposed to be helping us! But, 'is warriors are renown.. How dangerous is this Witherfang? If we can take 'im out easy, lets go fer it I guess."

"Do we have an established agreement? How are we to know that they might double-cross us?"
