I have one in Australia and had others in England (I spoke English with them). Now I'm looking for someone in the USA (to speak English, too) and someone in France (to practise French).



A Q to the Americans, what's your second language? I mean the one that they teach in school.
Here the first language is Spanish and second is English (but in my high school the also teach French, which I learn too). They are both obligatory to learn at school.

americans don't really have a second language. most only know english. But they do have classes vailable for other languages in school.

The ppl that have two languages normally are English and Spanish, right? At least in the USA.

That's what I thought, It's logical since in Mexico and in places like that they speak Spanish.

Tha good thing about speaking English easily is that it's the most extended language of the world, so no matter where you are you have more opportunities for being able to comunicate. You would be horrified if you heard how my classmates speak English...

I have heard people mess up really badly on english words before.

There was this exchange student from south korea, and she spoke pretty good english.

I had an echnage studant from france here once... he spoke some english. but I was really glad my dad knew french.

Some of my classmates don't know how to say anymore than "Hello, I'm ...... How are you?" and they have studied English since they were in, what for you would be kindergarden.

Yes. And it's much more complicated than in English. I hate them, specially when they make you memorize the name of the conjugation which sounds pretty bad, like "Pretérito pluscuamperfecto"

kinda. I find it easier to understand some things than it is to speak it...or write it.
