I held my Haden closer whispering that he would be assured.

I was torn. I did not know wether I should stay with my sister, or go on with the others.

"where are you going?"

"Its late"

I followed my parents.

(Cris)
It was just Amy and I now. "ARe you okay?"

I sighed "I don't know"

"Anything I could do?"

"Everything seems to just be going wrong. already four members of my family have almost died today"

'Well..." I said thinking. "I will do everything to keep you safe"

I smiled weakly.

I let him lead me away.

We walked her home.

I could not sleep.

Poor little girl was bound to have nightmares.

I did not dare sleep. because if i did I knew I would have nightmares.

It pained me to see her like this. Being forced to worry so much about things that mattered was not what I would wish upon anybody. Gently, I took her into my arms and began to whisper stories of brave heroes with happy endings to her.

My mothers voice was comforting. When she was there I felt like nothing could hurt me. I soon feel asleep.

In sleep Amy looked at peace, an emotion that seemed absent in her life. How I wished she could live a simple fearless life as most hatchlings do. Perhaps a year with humans would do her good.

She is sleeping soundly, although I am beginning to worry about her...
