I let my husband lead while I saw to those in the back.

tanner was wide awake now. but not in the best of moods. noone liked being woken up suddenly.

It was very amazing to me how suddenly everybody worked together. We were out of the area in no time at all.

I landed and set down tanner who had gotten over his mood and fallen asleep again.

After the last people had caught up, I landed right behind aas quietly as I could.

I sniffed the air. that demon is tracking us... the same one that was in the battle.

Here we go again. I sighed. Everybody up! We need to get going!

there were a lot of sighs as seorns began to get ready to move again. this time i was careful not to wake tanner.

I don;t know..... suddenly the demon burst out of the trees chargeing straight at us. I sat tanner down and told him and abbie to run. fighters form a line. don;t let that thing through!

I stared at it horror growing inside me. It is going to get through and he war helpless. Get everybody out of there. I looked him in the eye, I love you, and with that, I ran at it.

I was not going to watch it kill her. I got everyone moveing. But i did not go with them. I took off into the air. when it was faceing daisy I shot three engery balls at it within half a second of eachother. They were all direct hits and something like that usualy crippled creatures around this demons size. But he just seemed no more than mildly annoyed. then he spoke. I am xzarna he said. You cannot defeat me. I hope you like what I plan to do with you. it is very painful. I responded to that by makeing spikes come out of the ground under him. it knocked him off balance but cause no serious harm. he gripped one of them with his tail and threw it at me. I was able to avoid any fatal damage but it peirced my wing. I was somehow able to stay in the air. but it was very painful.

You are going to get yourself killed, I practically yelled at him. But i couldn't be mad because I was worried. I can't die, remeber? Not unless I choose to and I couldn't... stand to...loose....you. I dodged as it tried to hit me out of the air.

Well, its not going to get you as long as I'm here I said in my most soothing voice. Then I took and idea from what Tanner had been doing and shot a stone at its eye, setting it aflame as I did so.

I smirked as it screamed. I win, I said. Then I realized its mouth was still open, so I sent another one of the same stone flying.

good job daisy. I then flew off to keep the pack moveing.

Good luck I said and hurled a few blazing bolders into its mouth for good measure. Then took off after the others. We traveled over the next ridge untill everybody was reasonably safe.

I held up the injured wing. the spike was still lodged in it.

I winced. That must hurt, but then I began trying to remove the spike, very gingerly so I could heal it.
