part 2 of where did all the adults go?

"We got kicked out of the circus because we're too weird" i said, waiting for a response to my humor. there was none "I'm joking"

"our real story is not that funny acually"

"But lets talk about you since" then i made eye contact "You're eyes are....rainbowed!" His eyes had every possible eye color in outward rings around the puplil.

"yeah, they are rainbow" the boy said.

"That's really cool!" said. "How is that possible"

"do not know" he said. then the girl started to move a little.

all attention shifted to her

she opend her eyes and began complaining about the headache she had.

I kept an eye on her brother, trying to figure out his reaction to he complaining. IT would be a good indicator of the kind of relation they had to one another

her brother walked over to her side. "hey sis" he said gently. "can you hear me?

i wondered too. Where were Abby, and Brett (i think) and the othes

then I heard someone scream. it sounded like abby, and I saw several guars rushing by towards the sound. I jsut knew something had happend to abby.

my heart skipped a beat. what'd gone wrong? was she okay?

a few seconds later I heard gunshots, as if two groups of people were shooting at eachother. come on lets go I did not wait for an answer. I took of towards the noise. what i saw was ricks men shooting at men from hte midnight sun. both sides had lost some people. But what caught my attention was the barely moveing shape of abby behind the line of ricks men.

I bubbled up and ran to he, Steven in tow. When we reatched her, i pulled her inside my protection. She did not look at all well. I did not care, i had to heal her.

"do you have enough energy to heal her?"

"I don't care. Would you rather me be down for a day or even hurt or have her dead?"

did not say anything. I did not like either one

I turned around and looked my brother in the eye. "I have to do this. you might be able to help. Keep a hand on my shoulder while i'm doing this, i'll be focusing on healing and may not be able to balence"
I reatched out and put my hand on the back of her neck, it would help get everything more directly. The shocking already hurt, but ignored it the best i could. My arms burned, but i id not stop. i couldn't abandon my sister... colors began to apprear in front of my eyes, expanding and getting darker. i struggled to get her that last bit of wellness.

The colors turned uniformly black and took me over

I caught lillian as she fell. she had over done it. "lillian?" I said softly.

it took me a few minutes to recover, and even hen i could not get much beyond being half asleep. I tried to respond, but i only was ably to mumble incoherantly.
