Time(it's relative)

Basically, we are time travelers. We are from all different areas, all different families, but for some reason we have to power to move our position in time. (we can't move where we are, only what time we are in) Each one of us are taught how to time travel by our relative (could be a father, grandfather, great-grandfather et. cetera, or it could be a child or grandchild...i think you get the picture). We then meet each other and go on crazy adventures. Sound cool?

Personality:very klutzy and feels like his body doesn't fit him. But when playing piano/organ/keyboard he feels like he belongs.
Other: born into a wealthy family and never really experienced hardship.

I read Fearix's char profile and started laughing at the personality.


Name: Nirina "Niri" Kalpanika
Age: 22
Time Period: 14 century England (1300s)
Skills: control of water, she's a purveyor of character (She studies people to see who they think they are and who they really are). She sometimes lends her soprano voice to William's music, but rarely.
Description: without the wings and tattoo of course But this was the best picture I could find for what I wanted.

Personality: Calmer, graceful, cool-headed, rarely gets very worked up, almost the exact opposite of Nick Pyrith.
Other: She takes great pleasure in dousing Nick in water. And she constantly moves liquids away from William's reach so that he doesn't knock them over.

((I shall start this tommarow. I believe that i shall start it by having my character introduce the whole time travel thing to Jon's character. Either Miara's character shall be introduced shortly or will already know about her powers. cool with everyone?))

Traveling through time...it's an odd feeling. It doesn't hurt, just sort of tingles. But it's a sensation that spreads through your entire body at once, lasts for a few seconds, and disappears as if it never happened at all. And then you're in a new time period.
My mission was to teach my great-great-great(add about 30 more greats)-grandson about traveling in time. The assignment was given to me from my granddaughter, who was older than me at the given time (Time travel makes things weird).
I never liked visiting this far into the future. It just...creeped me out. Everything was so sleek so...perfect. Not like the world I was from.
I saw my target. He was hard to miss. He was on fire. I sighed. I wasn't going to like this guy. He was going to abuse his power. And I would have to deal with him in the end.

I walked up to him and said, "Excuse me, Mr. Pyrith, I need to talk to you. Please follow me."

I followed from behind as the Pyro and the Bookkeeper exchanged words. The Pyro seemed even more agitated at the Bookkeeper for interrupting his tirade. Now was my chance; I drew water from the ground below them and dropped it on the Pyro. His fire went out completely, but he still glared into the surrounding crowd for the culprit. I stayed as hidden as I could in my regular clothes, but they really stood out against the rest of these strangely dressed people.

I turned around and walked towards Niri. I didn't know her too well, but we had worked together once or twice.


"Kay, I'm not saying i wouldn't have done it, but what was that for?" I asked her, exasperated.

I smiled. "Your approach wouldn't have gotten you anywhere, Bookkeeper." I used my name for him, knowing full well that he didn't like it all that much.

"Oh, and yours would have?" Niri and I had an odd relationship. She was in fact the one who taught me, and we had a odd bond. She was so self confident, and yet so laid back. It just wasn't natural. But in the end, she wasn't a bad companion.

"Well, he's not going to burn you to a crisp now." I said, widening my eyes for emphasis. "And besides, I always like a good entrance."

"but know everyone here is going to be looking at you!"

"They were already looking at me." I replied. "And besides, if Pyro over there gets in anymore trouble, you won't be able to help him. So I've been following him, keeping him out of trouble."

"Oh, did my granddaughter Anne contact you too?" I asked her.

"Nah, I just figured it would happen considering the rest of your family and then I just traveled until I found the troublesome descendant." I glanced over at Nick and doused him with water again, this time just for the fun of it.

"Alright, now you're just sounding weird."

"What the heck is happening here? Who did that?" I was mad. Nobody throws water at me. I went from a decent mood to a really bad mood really fast.

"somnus universitas," i muttered. It was a simple sleep spell. After finishing the spell, the pyro fell to the ground. I walked over and began to pull him into a alleyway. I was followed by my former teacher.
"we aught to get out of here. I suggest the place between," i suggested.

The other guy muttered some strange words and then I felt weird and fuzzy and then i started to sway and my vision went out.

"Cause that was so much more subtle than mine." I said sarcastically to William. I opened a window into the Between and helped William drag the Pyro into it. I closed the window behind us and splashed the Pyro into sputtering awakefulness.

I coughed as the cold water hit my face. Relizing what just happened I stood up and punched the girl in the face

I shifted just in time and felt the Pyro's fist hit my hair. "Now is that anyway to treat a lady?" I said, pretending to be insulted. I slid out of his reach. I jumped and landed at a right angle to how I had been standing, somehow landing on the grayish mass of Between. Between had no real laws of nature or science, it merely followed what a traveler believed it should.
