we did not waste any time getting back. it looked like meagan already had control of things. I took it up from where she left off without even a pause.

They all stayed busy untill late that night. Then most ofthe adults went out somewhere into the woods. James told me later what happend.

Even for one as young as I who had never experienced true love, it was touching to see. It was evident, though i had never seen either of them together, that they were really in love. Up untill that point, Alyss had seemed so wholeheartedly dedicated to her role in keeping Lucas safe, but was clear to me now. She had never forgot her husband or moved on from him. any focus was to keep her together everyday

of course it was not all good news that day. I got a message later that I knew would come soon but it was sitll not a happy one. jake was dying. I had just got done telling meagan. we all knew it would be soon. very few serons lived as long as he had and he was getting weaker every day. now finaly he was on his death bed. But it was sitll hard to tell her that her father had only hours left. we were on our way to visit him.
