another one with the serons..

I was panting by the time I found kali and tira. they have feraks I said, sitll trying to catch my breath. The black serons have feraks

kalis freind santiago ((james)) joined up with the group of hatchlings who were tasked with seeing what the enemies movements were and reporting it to lucas. also the seorns decided to split into three groups so now they have to report to three different serons. so anyway, later james and danial found out that the black serons have feraks with them. one of them even looks like krehogar, an antaint ferak leader who was killed by one of the antaint leaders. danial went to wanr kali and tira while james went to warn lucas.

I was just beginning my move out to the fighting grounds when something caused me to pause. That third sense that mothers have seemed to be telling me something. Something that was wrong? Conner, I think they are in danger. Gravely so. Come I think we need to rescue them.

When james deliverd the news I imediately contacted mellorie. you are the closest to the hatchlings. tell them to get back here right away. James just ran all the way here and told me that the enemy has feraks. If they see the hatchlings they will kill them without hesitation. and they are very good at seeing things. ((serons can communicate meantaly over long distance but it takes alot of foucas so they rarely do it. this was an emergancy so lucas did it with mellorie. the hatchlings would not be able to manage it yuet it takes years of training to get it right))

as soon as I deliverd the news. the huge black ferak saw us. i knew he was the leader. what I did not know was if we could outrun him. we would have to find out. we couldent fight him. I think it's time to go I said. and we ran and quickly discoverd that the ferak leader was faster then us. he was gaining on us quickly. we tried to go faster but we just couldent. there was one thing I knew about feraks. they do not kill quickly. if the ferak leader cuaght us he would kill us slowly and painfully. feraks loved to cause suffering. unfortunantly he caught me. I felt has claws perice me and I was thrown into a tree. i felt several bones break. I saw him comeing towards me and tried to get up. but I couldent. ((I'm thinking the rescue party lead by mellorie arrives at that point))

I was now in the fight with every fiber of my being. One thing to simply defend my allies and loved ones, but another sphere entirely to threaten my son and his peers. This would not be tolorated. The fastest of us were assembled and we were soon racing through the trees as if our lives depended on it. But in all seriousness the lives at stake were more valuable than our own. As the first wimpering voice pierced my consiousness, my speed increased and I soon beheld the scene.
My heart was pounding, speading the ice that now was in my blood as I realized what was going on. In a heartbeat I stood protectivly in front of Danial, facing the terrible attacker. All ran hot inside me now. He would not get away unscathed.
How cowardly a lot you must be to attack hatchlings first! I seethed Your strategy is one of the weak and powerless. The tactic in itself screams weakness and desperation. If you wish to prove me wrong, you will fight me. His expression appeared to be one of shock and of insult. Who was I, a female of my size and age to challenge him as an equel?
My pulse raced heavilly. My mind cleared. One thing was evident.
At least one of us would die.
It would likely be me.

get the others to move Danial and the others to saftey. far far away from here. Tell Conner to find Jame. Have them go far away. Tell Dad and mom and the kids that i love them.

I told the others to get danial and the other hatchlings to saftey. but i would not leave my sister.

the ferak leader obviously did not wnat to fight two adult serons at the same time. so he retreated. we met up with the rest of the group.being the son and daughter of two pack leaders mellorie and i had been trained in healing. danial had been seriously hurt by the time we got there so we imediately went to work on him. it didin't take long to realize the worst had happend. I exchnaged a look with mellorie. she would know the same thing as me. I adressed his freinds. There is nothing we can do for him. we can make him comftorble but thats it.

I don't what made me keep going, but it must've been that instict inside of me that treasured such a small life. Maybe I picured that this was my own son. Either way i refused to quit,

we took danial back to the main group. and made him as comnftorble as possible. his twin sister rebecca ran over to him sobbing and begging him to be ok.

I looked up at Kyle with unfathamble pleading eyes. I was silent, but my glare spoke with a shout that leagions could manage.

I sighed. I had seen these injuries before in many fighters. I knew there was nothing I could do to save danial.

can you use me? i asked.

you should stay with your freind. he would want you to be with him.

if he's dying, can't you use me to save him?

I could. but it would probably kill you or almost kill you.
