The fight appeared to be mostly even. Untill one of them ended up behind him when he was distracted. Within three heartbeats he was down. The dust cleared and they fled leaving him for dead.
My heart skipped a beat, fearing that is excatly what had happened.

I managed to stand up. But most of my weight was on one side. the other was badly torn and I could barely put any weight on it.
